Good
tasks
Long time, tasks have been a "headache" for students, because
they want time after school to play, rest, watch tv, talk with friends, go to
parties and many more things. Until recently schools have begun to reflect
about homeworks: are good the tasks? Are these necessaries for students?
Should schools continue with homeworks? I think that tasks are good only when
these are given with the intention of strengthening the knowledge received in
the classroom and help students to be organized.
Time in the classroom is shorter, for that reason is necessary that
students continue working in their homes. There, they can looking for more
information; share with other persons as parents, partners, friends who can
help them to understand something that not be learned; and, some very
important, they can make them in a comfortable place.
Tasks help to students to be organized with their time and things because
they mush make them without a schedule established by an institution, without
nobody tell them what to do, without anyone who give them materials that they
don't have. Many students have to do tasks alone, because their parents are not
at home all time, so they mush to be more responsible!
Tasks should looking to develop creativity of students, so teachers have
to think very well what kind of homeworks should make their students. Also,
these mush be short and innovative, so children and teenagers will be motived
to make them and continue with process that began in school. Time at home,
after school, is shorter and students have to make tasks of different subjects,
therefore they should not end up tired and exhausted at midnight after doing
all the tasks.
Finally, teachers and students should see task as some positive,
because these are a complement in the education process whenever these are
short, creative and develop competences and aren't assigned as a
punishment.
